First Contribution

What I did

Before contributing, I first took the time to understand how the WordPress translation platform works. I explored the available projects, learned how translations are reviewed, and looked for an area where my work could make the biggest difference.
After seeing that the Spanish (Costa Rica) locale (es_CR) had relatively few contributors and thousands of untranslated strings, I decided to focus on the Elementor Website Builder plugin.

At the beginning, I set a simple goal for myself: complete only the minimum number of required contributions. However, as I became more familiar with the platform and saw the impact of each approved translation, I genuinely enjoyed the process and decided to contribute far beyond the minimum.
Translating software turned out to be more than converting words between languages—it required attention to context, consistency, and technical details such as variables and HTML tags. That experience motivated me to keep contributing and become more involved with the WordPress community.
