What I’ve achieved so far

So far, I have translated slightly more than 100 strings for the Elementor Website Builder plugin. At the time of writing, I am still waiting for many of them to be reviewed and approved, but contributing consistently has allowed me to become more familiar with the translation workflow and WordPress localization standards.

Throughout my contributions, I have maintained consistent terminology, used the formal forms, and ensured that variables, HTML tags, and technical terms remain accurate for everyone’s understanding.

What I Have Achieved So Far

This experience has shown me that software localization is much more than translating text. I learned the importance of understanding the context of each string, preserving technical elements such as variables and HTML tags, and verifying automated suggestions instead of accepting them without review.

On a personal level, I have developed greater patience and attention to detail. Although I originally planned to complete only the minimum required work, I found the project genuinely enjoyable and decided to continue contributing beyond that goal. Seeing my progress and knowing that my work helps improve WordPress for Costa Rican users has been both motivating and rewarding.

For the second half of the project, my focus is to continue contributing high-quality translations, increase the number of approved strings, and maintain consistency with WordPress localization standards. I also want to keep learning from the review process and contribute beyond the minimum requirements, helping improve the experience for Spanish-speaking users in Costa Rica.
